Glaciation is Coming - 08-07-2023
Let's discuss the future of Earth. I'm sure to get the UN climate tag on this video, but that's all right, because it will be the truth that our future is cold. Let's begin with the story we touched on this morning. The professor says the Milankovich cycle shift to Glaciation, the next ice age began in 2020 and that we will be seeing these effects in the near future.
Now, to be clear, have reason to majorly question the mechanisms of the Milankovich cycles, but not the existence of the time cycles themselves. The approximately 23,000 year cycle, a part of the 100,000 year glacial cycle is surely seen in the geological data. It's actually closer to 24 25,000 years in the geologic data, whereas this 23,000 year number comes from astronomical model math. Alas, the return to Glaciation is due. The Earth has been enduring short interglacials of about 10,000 years.
intersparsed with glacial eras of about 90,000 years. The current interglacial warm period has lasted 12,000 years, which means it's time for a descent back downward. We don't need some orbital nudge to pull it off. However, Earth can do this on its own. This planet has had snowball conditions.
Why did it not stay that way? Because when this happens, all the water is frozen out of the atmosphere and the extra sunlight coming in due to the lack of clouds, warms us back up. Conversely, we've had hot house conditions, super warm periods that didn't just run away forever in heat, but bounced back to cold because volcanoes and the extra evaporation from the heat clouds out the atmosphere, while the ocean patterns trigger cooling. That's what's on deck right now. The ocean patterns are where we will begin.
The Gulf Stream is slowing and the overturning circulation is collapsing. This was major news recently and it is in fact happening. But it doesn't mean what the news says it means. In fact, the scientific literature is quite clear that these events trigger the cooling shift of the Dansgard Oshker events. Ice locked at the poles makes the rest of the world warm, but when it melts, it surges cold fresh water into the oceans and that chills the lower latitudes.
While this is happening, the same heat that melted the ice is causing increased evaporation and it is coupled with the volcanic events that are expected in the coming years once again to cloud out the skies at the same time as the oceans chill and the circulations shut down. Also good scientific literature on how these Dansgard Oschar events bring volcanoes the icing on the cake here will be the release of the Beaufort Gyre. Yale recognized the cold climate bomb waiting to release and just a few months ago we learned it is poised to release any day now. All of these things combine to make for a rapid shift back to Glaciation. And what do you know, it's right on time.
With the interglacial having overstayed its welcome and the icy conditions being ready on time and due to return to this planet as part of the disaster cycle that will be resetting in the next ten to 25 years, bringing the next age of Earth. Frankly, it does not matter if this is natural or if every word they say about human caused global warming is true, which it's not, by the way, that heat is what triggers the cold snap. Simply put, the more warming we get, the colder it will swing back and the faster it will happen. Swings are actually an apt metaphor here. You can push to one side all you want on this planet, but it's got built in safety mechanisms.
And the further and harder you push that swing to one side, the faster end and the further to the other side it will swing. I'll see you in the morning for The Daily Show. Be safe, everyone.
